Using original drawings and specifications unearthed in the Kastan archives, the Redline by Kastan 401 Flight cranks set is manufactured in locations within Southern California and Baja, Mexico. Using the original Flight Crank 2D drawings (dated 1982), we recreated a series of molds in California to a high level of accuracy to deliver the beautiful tapered arm, decal dimple and iconic single pinch hardware. The crank arms are produced from Chromoly and swaged prior to press forming through three separate molds to achieve the iconic, tapered Redline Flight crank shape. The crank set itself, including the spindle, requires 24 separate processes to produce and several specialist vendors.

The Redline X Flight sprocket is manufactured in the United States utilizing super fine CNC engraving to recreate the logos and surface design. We offer this only in 44 tooth at the present time. The diameter of the bore hole reverts to that of the original to accept the Double Dimple Redline driver Spindle.

The set - including the Techmatic BB Bearing and cup set, is delivered in custom Redline by Kastan packaging.
